Who am I?

See, feel, film!

I am a Mexican director shaped by the land where I grew up and by the people I love. In film, I found a space to explore emotions, identities, and connections. I film so that others can find themselves in the stories I tell.

First Exhibition

I grew up in Ocozocoautla de Espinosa, Chiapas, a place where nature, history, and daily life coexist with a force that teaches you to see things differently. My childhood was surrounded by trees, caves, and affection, but also by the conflicts that any family faces. In that environment, I learned to observe and recognize the beauty of the everyday and the human experience.

Reading—from the classics to Greek mythology—opened up worlds for me, as did film, while travel, music, and my family further refined my sensitivity. My father awakened my desire to observe: his passion for the world and the roots of our culture revealed to me how many stories await untold. And my mother, in her search for the delicacy and sensitivity of our surroundings, provided the initial impetus.

Over time, I understood that I wanted to narrate emotions, connections, and identities. I believed that acting was my path, but directing gave me the freedom I sought to share what dwells within me.

Sculpting the Gaze

I studied Cinematography and Audiovisual Media at CINEMA University in Puebla, where each project taught me to see and create from new perspectives. There I found professors who believed in me, workshops that expanded my skills—like VFX makeup—and experiences that reaffirmed that this was my calling. I work in areas such as screenwriting, editing, art direction, assistant directing, and especially directing.

I discovered that I am a director who works from a place of unity and trust, guided by sensitivity. My style thrives in silences, in what is said without words, in what happens between two glances. I am interested in exploring the emotional territory: identity, relationships, and freedom.

Among my most important projects are my observational documentary Children of the Jungle (2023), the music video Caressing a Memory (2024) and my thesis Soft Stem Offshoots (2025).

What I seek is simple: that whoever views my work finds a reflection, a question, or an echo. That they are not just spectators, but emotional accomplices. I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Documentary Filmmaking: Ecology and Landscape in Aberystwyth, Wales, UK.
